Education should prioritize and cater to the needs of all students, including those with disabilities, diverse impairments, and high support needs. Education and Skill Development empower persons with disabilities to be part of society, living with dignity as contributing members of society.

The subtheme group will focus on several important areas that include: 

  • Address educational needs of students who have diverse learning needs 
  • Funding for Inclusive Education 
  • Assistive technologies for education and alternative forms of communication (ACC) 
  • Teacher/ caregiver / parent / community training, and awareness to support inclusion 
  • Early intervention and screening 
  • Monitoring at multiple levels
