Holistic Health Policy Event

On March 17th, 2023 the Integrated Holistic health C20 working group held its eighth ideation workshop and policy meeting. Dr. Rammanohar, the holistic health area lead, led the 50 CSOs that could attend live through a problem-finding workshop based on design thinking principles to understand the top issues in holistic health care and the barriers to access care faced on a global scale.

This policy event provided a deep-dive on how the holistic health approach to wellness addresses the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual components of health. Dr. Rammanohar and the distinguished speakers who led this event addressed the challenges often faced in their work, such as quality of education, lack of integration with biomedicine, lack of resources, disinformation, non-acceptance in mainstream health care, lack of availability of medicines, poor quality of available medicines, and challenges in education.

Dr. Rammanohar then guided participants through an ideation exercise that will ultimately inform the policy recommendations that will be given to the G20 heads of state in September.
