On the day that followed the Civil20 Gender Equality & Disability (GED) Working Group Summit in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the GED Amrita University team paid a field visit to the Kanaka village, as part of an outreach program.
During the visit Dr. Bhavani Rao, India coordinator of the GED working group, inaugurated a new water well and Amrita team members joined the women villagers in Seed Balls activities (Seed balls consist of seeds rolled within a ball of clay and earth to assist germination).
Sarees were also distributed to all the Amrita SANKALP students present at the event.
