Under the C20 Working Group on Technology Security and Transparency, a cybersecurity awareness training session – TACTICS was held at M.A.Math, Nerul, Navi Mumbai on Saturday, 15th July. The session was conducted by a dedicated 2- member team, Mr Aravind, and Mr.Unnikrishnan for some very enthusiastic members of NGOs and CSOs from across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
The distinguished guests who joined the inaugural lamp lighting ceremony included Dr Gopal Ramamirtham, Director & HOD, School of Management, DY Patil deemed University, Smt Vandana Gupta, Founder & Chairperson, V Care Foundation, & Shri Satish Nikam, Head, IT Cell, BJP Maharashtra. The guest speakers stressed on the need for training and awareness pertaining to cybersecurity, thereby making the world safe from cyber threats, online frauds and scams.Swami Avyayamritananda remarked on the need to connect to the ‘ Inner Net’ along with the Internet, and also to balance the real and the virtual worlds.
The training session took off to a great start with the trainers, Mr.Aravind and Mr.Unnikrishnan introducing the topic with an audio- visual presentation. The session got quite interactive as the participants discussed the pros and cons of navigating cyberspace, and were made aware of the technological hazards and cybersecurity measures to tackle them.
At the end of the session, certificates were awarded to all the participants.
